Noel Coleman earns Big West player of the week
Coleman becomes first Hawaiʻi player to earn prestigious honor
Just days away from their sixth game of the 2023-24 season, the University of Hawaiʻi men's basketball team earned more good news, as Noel Coleman earned Big West Player of the Week.

Coleman scored over 20 points in two of the five games played in 2023-24, which included a season-high 26 against San Diego. Coleman has also led the team in 3-point shooting this season at 38% (10-for-26). He is averaging over 16 points a game; if he earns 18 points in Hawaiʻi's next game against Utah, Coleman will break 100 points in this season alone.

Last season, teammate JoVon McClanahan was the only Rainbow Warrior to earn Big West Player of the Week honors after his incredible buzzer-beating triple on Christmas day against Southern Methodist University to win the Diamond Head Classic Championship in 2022.

Coleman has been a valuable addition to UH's backcourt since he first came here in 2020. Like McClanahan, Coleman does have two buzzer-beating triples to his credit, and both came against Cal State Fullerton last season; unfortunately, both times resulted in losses for UH.

Coleman and the Rainbow Warriors are scheduled to take on the Utah Utes at the Delta Center in Salt, Lake City, Utah on Thursday, Nov. 30. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. HST. You can listen on the radio at CBS 1500, or watch the game on the Pac-12 Network.
